How can I legally recover my belongings from my ex-husband's house?

I had to left my husband's house in a big rush because of a domestic violence case and I was unable to bring with me lots of belongings like clothes and my children's clothes and toys. Now I've realized that I forgot some jackets and expensive coats of mine and I want to recover them, but the harris county court in Texas has ordered we cannot see or contact each other in any way, nor thru a third party. How can I recover everything???|||ask your lawyer. probably need to then ask the county court to grant you a temporary hold on the court order. good luck.|||Talk to your lawyer and petition the court. Those items are legally yours and should be divided up as part of the divorce settlement.|||when u took the protection order he was advised not to harm ur belongings talk with an abuse counselor and they should help you..i have been thru this and all things can be replaced except our lives and childrens thank god u got out|||Ask the court for suitable modification of the order to permit you to safely get back your clothes and those of your children, plus the kids' toys.

Note: Don't ask for anything except your/kids' clothes and kids' toys for this part...this isn't an end-run around the property division, it's just getting stuff back that plainly isn't his.|||u need to go b4 a judge and have him grant u permission.|||Contact the sheriff's department. Ask for them to help. You need an police/sheriff escort to retrieve your belongings. They can contact your ex and set the date and they will go with you.|||In most states, you will need to contact a lawyer who can repersent you in discussions with your exhusbands lawyer, to make arrangements for you to retrieve you personal property.. of course any community property will have to be decided through the lawyers. Arangements for the collection of your property may require that you provide a list of the items, and an officer of the court will collect them for you.|||Police escort. Can you prove ownership? It may be nessecary unless he is willing to give it to you.

Otherwize cut your losses. Submerge yourself in a community that learns from their mistaks and preaches forgivness so it doesn't weigh down your heart. Seak spiritual healing,.. and maybe then he could do the same.
