Can they take my home, if my spearated husband foreclose his house?

My husband and I are sperated and his is about to lose his house, Can they take my house even if his is not on my loan or deed? What happens after a foreclose? What do the they garnish after the process and how much does a foreclosuer cost for ex-homeowner?|||So you guys have seperate houses? If those are two different households, one is foreclosing, but yours is up to date with payments, etc... they cannot take your home from YOU. As far as this forclosure affecting your credit or any financial responsibilities for you, etc.. I'm sure there will be some of that going on. Just because your still legally married. You are both responsible for everything, either way as long as your still married.|||Nobody can take your house if the payments are up to date. I assume that you been separated for some time. The only problem that I can see is that any judgment against him may be construed as yours also because you are married. Debts incurred when you were living together could belong to both of you. This may require a lawyer to look at it because lenders will try to get somebody to pay the debt whether they are responsible or not.|||No They cannot take your home if he is not on you deed or mtg, If the house you live in is in your name only they are separate things, a foreclose means that your husband has not paid the mtg payments and the bank wants there money. after forecloser his credit is ruin for 10 years he cannot buy another home with a good rate his rate of instrest is alot higher than usually,he cannot uptain credit anywhere for 3 years or longer, its very bad to foreclose he should have opt to have a short sale and recoup the $ to perches something else
