What is the definition of house husband in the society of Bangladesh?

In Bangladesh many boys get married and live father in law's resident. But many of then tell me if they are solvent and earn money they are not house husband. I want to know the actual definition of house husband.|||A house husband is a man that stays at home while his wife works to support him. If they have kids, the house husband looks after them.|||Scenario 1: If a man lives with wife in her parents house, the it is known here as "Ghar Jamai", that your question may have been referring to.

Scenario 2: Man lives with wife in their own house or apartment and the guy remains home most of the time while the wife ventures out for job or tending her own business or just taking care of outside errands, like shopping and taking kids to schools etc. Here the guy is working from home where he is having a paperless office, meaning - he is using modern technology and managing business from home. Here you may give him the moniker of "House husband" as long as he doesn't care much about such nomenclature...lol!

Unfortunately, our kind of societies would prefer the hubby to go out and earn money from outside the house and the wife to be as model-spouse (Adarsha Greehini) and take care of th household chores (may be using helping hands like maids or servants). The time is changing fast and people will work from home more in coming days since the traffic jam will make life of the city dweller miserable to travel in office hours. And also for the fact that many parents of single daughter would like their son-in-law to treat them as his own parents. This indulges the guy a bit and he may try to cower under the comfort of in-laws house and avoid standing on his own feet, the cases you can see in villages of Bangladesh.

Now you make out the exact definition of the type of the guy and the situation he is in at that particular moment. In worst language, one can say that he is a domesticated husband who does lives for free, eats for free and gets a wife for free...lol!

Hope above helps.
