We bought a house 3 years ago and he has order's to move in May. We have had our house up and are scared we will have to foreclose on it. My husband is worried with being a nuclear electrician in the navy that he will lose his security clearence. Is that possible? With how bad the economy is now is there anyway around it?|||It very well could , depending on his level of security clearance. My husband has Top Secret and he has to have damn near perfect credit. If you have poor credit you are considered a risk. you talk about how bad the economy is, the navy will NOT take that into consideration since you get BAH to pay for your housing.|||Check with the Navy and see if they will buy the house as part of your husbands orders to move. It's a possibilty. Talk to the relocation office. Tell them about the security clearance risk and ask them for advise on what is possible.|||As a rule from years past he is a security risk.Having financial problems is one of the top reasons for being a risk.
I would only hope that there is some leeway being granted since so many people are having the same problem.
I hope it doesn't affect you.
Good Luck|||I am sorry to say it, but yes, it is a possibility.
